Sebastian is making a return trip to gay Atlanta for a meet-and-greet at Brushstrokes Pleasures on Saturday. He talked with us ahead of his appearance about his start in gay porn, onscreen sex scenes with his boyfriend, hairy versus shaved and why he shot a public service announcement about PrEP, the controversial once-a-day pill to prevent HIV.
How did you get your start in porn?
About four years ago, I was planning a trip to Folsom. My friend who I had planned to stay with suggested that I see if any porn companies were shooting while I was there. So I sent my info into the studios that were shooting in San Francisco at the time. I heard back from Titan and Treasure Island Media. I decided to go with TIM since they had more fun and from what I heard, Titan was just too hung up on rules. I made the right choice because I’ve definitely fucked way more guys with TIM.
What’s it like shooting porn scenes with your boyfriend?
It’s always super hot and amazing. We’ve done scenes and live sex shows in New Orleans and in San Francisco. My boyfriend, Dolf Dietrich, is a stud and together, we have manly pig sex! And in a scene, he knows how sexy he is on camera and just acts natural. He can read me, ever since the first scene we did together where we met. It has been clear that he and I are so in sync. In that first scene, I was so turned on, I came kinda quick and he shot his load within seconds after I did. We will go to London in November, and we each have our own scenes to film, but we also have a gang bang scene to film where we along with a couple other guys will be topping this poor sucker. Then we will do a live XXX show. That’s going to be hot!
You like your sexy gear and toys. What attracts you to it? Do you have favorite pieces?
Yea, I’ve always liked gear and toys. My first gear was leather bondage shorts and gloves. I’ve grown to include latex, rope and neoprene. There’s something sexy about the new styles of gear that are out these days. When you walk into Mr S. Leathers in San Francisco and you try on your first harness or chaps, you immediately get in the mood for some serious play sessions. It’s as addicting as tattoos or smelling dirty jocks. Mmmmmm! Right. Now, my favorite piece of gear is a face mask with just an opening for the mouth. Couple that with wrist restraints and you’ve got yourself a submissive pig who is ready to please.
Guys like you with body hair and ink are much more visible in sex films in recent years. What’s changed?
I like the shift towards real men. For the longest time, the industry was filled with cookie cutter types with smooth bodies and the only guys in porn who had hair were the Colt models. Now, we as consumers want variety and diversity. We also want to feel like it could be us on the screen having that fun sex with those hot guys. It’s a lot hotter with a real representation of all the men the world has to offer. When a guy finds his mojo, be it attitude or fitness, he starts to project a stronger version of him to the world. That’s the true definition of sexy. And ink is just hot. Everybody has stories to tell about their ink.
Earlier this year, you and ex-boyfriend Max Cameron appeared in a Fusion TV PSA for PrEP. That preventative measure has generated quite a debate among gay men. What prompted you to step into the middle of that? What’s the reaction been since the PSA went public?
When I was dating Max Cameron, he was negative (still is as far as I know) and I’m positive. We discussed getting him on PrEP so we wouldn’t have to worry about his health. It was before the whole issue exploded into the media circus that it became. I still feel strongly that we, as a society, have to use any tool available to us to fight the spread of HIV. There will be people who take it wrong and screw up the effectiveness of the medication. But there will be many more people who will benefit from the treatment. Not to mention, that this is an advance in the battle on HIV. Sometime soon, there will be another medication that will come along and work better to prevent the spread of HIV. We aren’t out of the woods, yet. But sticking our heads in the mud and turning our backs on this advancement is just wrong. As with any drug, there are side effects. It’s up to the individual about whether they want to try to protect themselves and not some organization like AIDS Healthcare Foundation who has a control freak at the helm.
Condoms have never been approved for protecting against the spread of HIV through anal intercourse – and there is a high failure rate when using condoms – but Truvada has been approved to prevent the spread of HIV through anal intercourse.
As for public reaction since the PSA came out, I’ve gotten a lot of thank yous from people who went on PrEP because of our story. They weren’t all promiscuous. Some of these guys have been in committed relationships and had lived serodiscordant lives but now worry less about accidental infection.
Have you visited Atlanta before? Give us the details.
Yea, I’ve been to Atlanta before. I’m originally from Knoxville, Tenn., so Atlanta was close to home. I learned early on that I could have a lot of fun in Atlanta. And I always do. I’ll be back in Atlanta before too long. It’s my comfy tie to the South. I’ve never been to the aquarium. I think I will go on this trip. Especially, since there are Pride events happening there.
What can fans expect from your appearance at Brushstrokes?
I’ll have some photo cards I can sign for them as well as some Treasure Island merchandise for giveaways. They might even get the chance to touch my junk. I usually hang out with people and take photos. I’m a naughty boy and have to be told to put my junk away, a lot. But it’s my gig. They can’t kick me out! I’ll also be raising money for Pets Are Loving Support. The pet assistance program started to help people living with HIV.
After Atlanta, what’s next for you?
I’m appearing at Helios Resort in Palm Springs on Oct. 31 through Nov. 2, for Leather Pride. I’ll be at the Hoist in London with Dolf Dietrich. And we will be headlining Bears, Bikers and Mayhem in Pennsylvania on March 26-29. I’ve been filming with Hot House’s Club Inferno Dungeon and Raging Stallion’s Fisting Central. And I’ll be filming in London with Liam Cole for Treasure Island Media.
