Honey became the Portland pup about a month ago when Pony adopted her at just 3.5 months old. Her favorite activities include nibbling on Damon Dogg’s toes while he edits, long walks with Dice, and puppy piles in the evening with Pony.
Honey was born on Thanksgiving in 2015. She’s 4.5 months old now and weighs 40 pounds. She’s mostly German Shepard with a mix of Rott.
The video below was taken the night I brought her home. It’s me and Damon welcoming her.
The guy in the B&W is my 27 year-old brother who randomly showed up the following day in Portland to hang out with me after not seeing each other for 5 years.
It was a seriously awesome day hanging with the #Bloodlines.
It was easy to call her Honey those first few weeks because she was so sweet and gentle. So it stuck. She’s incredibly smart and loves fun adventures. She tries to get involved in any photo shoot that I’m doing. Unfortunately, she’s no longer allowed at video shoots for this reason. She’s still too young for all that.
Funnily enough, I got the idea of a dog from Paul. Paul sent me a picture of a tattooed man holding a baby puppy a few weeks before I met Honey. One night she was sitting on my lap and I was scrolling through images and I came across it. It reminded me of the power that images have over us. It was as if Paul planted a little seed for me and then Dice one day decided it should sprout. So one day not too long ago, I was hanging out with Dice in the office when he insisted I go on Craigslist and look at pets.
Both Damon and Dice were going on and on about how they were going to get a dog and in the end it was me that got one.
And neither of them volunteer to walk her…lol : ) But seriously, Honey is just what I needed…it’s amazing watching her grow and learn new things.
I fucking love this dog even though she’s a real BITCH : )
