TIM models Drew Sebastian and his boyfriend Max Cameron are featured in a short documentary by Fusion TV about the use of Truvada for PrEP (Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis). Drew and Max are a serodiscordant couple who moonlight as porn stars. In the video the couple say that PrEP has helped them to be more intimate with each other.
Despite proven rates of efficacy in HIV prevention and low incidences of side effects, gay men have been slow to adopt PrEP as a method of risk reduction.
The documentary also features Dr. Robert Grant of UC San Francisco, who was took part in the clinical trials which led to Truvada’s approval by the FDA for HIV prevention in HIV-negative individuals.

Max is a real spunk. He needs a bodyguard the size of Drew to protect him from jealous fans. The video was excellent: will save or enhance more lives than AHF ‘s out of touch sermons..
isn’t truvada crazy expensive though?
It’s covered by most insurances now and free through certain Medicaid programs in major cities.
Very important. TIM do more to promote PREP. AHF should be ashamed of itself.
It’s really great to see an HIV pos/neg couple speaking out at all….not to mention…how awesome is it that both of these guys can be so open about their “side” jobs.
