I AM: JACK ALLEN

I love the idea of dichotomy, and to me Jack embodies that perfectly. He has the mind of an academic with the body and libido of a wild breeding fucker. A self described sexual opportunist, Jack Allen is explicit about his wants and his needs. “I’m here for the fucking.”

Julian: Hey Jack, thanks for coming in today.

Jack: Oh, of course, my pleasure.

Julian: Let’s get started. I think our readers know the least about you. Can you tell me a little bit about yourself and your background?

Jack: Yeah, I grew up on a farm in the Midwest. We had a lot of horses, livestock, land. I remember that the closest neighbor to us was about six miles away. So I grew up there, then in 1985 I moved to New York for grad school. I did a stint in San Francisco for a few years, but New York is home to me. I think I’ll be here for a while.

Julian: Great! I’m sure we’re all glad to have you back. So, you’re a little bit like me in that you’ve done the Bi-coastal thing for a while now. Do you prefer San Francisco or New York better?

Jack: Oh, they’re such completely different animals. I think that San Francisco fools New Yorkers a lot. You know, San Francisco has its skyline, and it has public transportation, it has a lot of ethnic neighborhoods, and food, and arts, and culture, and so New Yorkers think it’s a big city when it’s really just a big town with a lot going on. I always explain it to people in terms of how many people ride the transit. 8 million people a day ride the MTA. I think that if Muni got to 800,000 daily ridership, it would probably shut down.

I love both cities, but they offer different things to different people.

Julian: Yeah, I agree. It’s a funny thing to explain to people, because I think that there is a such a sense of almost filial loyalty that residents feel toward their cities, and the idea that one city isn’t better or worse is somehow lost.

Jack: Exactly.

Julian: Can you explain how you got into massage therapy?

Jack: I had a partner who was a massage therapist for years and years, and I was always so jealous of how accommodating and easy his life was. So I went to classes and got the degree, but I still didn’t use it. Then I moved to San Francisco right around the time that the economy crashed. All the investment banks that I had been working for were either shutting down or they weren’t hiring, so I started committing myself to massage. I really enjoy doing this work. I’m debating with myself whether or not to go back to the banking world, but the landscape is so different now. I think that I would have a lot of catching up to do in order to make it work again.

Julian: What does sex mean for you?

Jack: Sex changes over time. As you get older, the impetus, the motivation, the draw of it are all much more different than when you’re young.

When I’m involved with someone it’s all about the connection. But casual, recreational sex is a real and a valid thing. It’s a necessity for people, but the motivation is different. I don’t need to connect 100% with some guy that I’m going to fuck and never see again.

Sex also means different things in different cultures and contexts. Gay urban sex is different from straight people or lesbians or the non-urban world. What I find most interesting, though, is the string of commonality. Regardless of which world you reside in, or what the current motivation for your sex is, people are almost always thinking about what that cute person on the street looks like naked. You know old people think it, you know pregnant women about to pop think it. I find it all endlessly entertaining how it all unfolds.

Julian: What turns you on most in a man?

Jack: Oh god, I’m such an opportunist. I don’t know that I can verbalize it. I mean, it’s true that some guys are more attractive than others to me, I’m just trying to think of what they have in common.

I guess the closest thing I can come up with is someone with a great body and a brain to go along with it. Someone as fun to talk to as they are to go to bed with. Of course that’s a specific kind of sex. Recreational sex doesn’t necessitate that. Casual sex can be much more visceral or a playful thing. They don’t need to be able to talk about Shakespeare and Dickens, but if they can, then, hey, my antenna picks up.

Julian: A lot is being made about the fact that cruising culture is dying out and that people are meeting online and on apps now. Do you use the cruising apps, or how do you prefer to meet the guys that you have sex with?

Jack: I’ve used online sites like BBRT. That works for me, because I don’t really like bars or places like that. So for me, the online thing is great. I mean, for me, it’s either online or the gym, and even the gym is very slow going these days. I don’t think I’ve brought anyone back from the gym in months.

Julian: What do you like most about being an Exclusive with TIM?

Jack: To be honest, I like the crews and how easily they make the shoots go. They really facilitate an easy and a sexy scene. They’re so good at what they’re doing that sometimes I don’t realize they’re around. They let everything happen as it’s happening and they let everything be enjoyable and fun. There is no need for us to worry or to impress anyone. We just have to be us.

Julian: Why did you choose to work with TIM?

Jack: Haha, because they contacted me! I was never really looking to do porn, but like I said I’m just such an opportunist when it comes to sex. I was online on BBRT one day, and I guess they had a no-show for a scene they were shooting. They contacted me asking if I wanted to do it, and I said “sure.” My ex had done some porn, so I was a little familiar with the industry but nothing I did was ever direct.

The next day Nick [in casting] called me to do a photo shoot and Paul came in to take it over. Paul was really fun and very interesting. I’m probably not the typical person who comes to the door at Treasure Island, and I think that he was curious to find out what motivated me sexually. He was asking me a lot of questions, and finally I had to just be outright and tell him that there’s nothing very interesting sexually about me. I’m very vanilla, I’m here for the fucking. I just want to get my cock in an ass. I assume he appreciated that because everything since then has been smooth. I’m not really good with a camera in front of me–

Julian: Which is why you appreciate how easy our crew is!

Jack: Haha, precisely! But Paul has been great to work with.

Julian: I ask everyone this, why bareback?

Jack: The short answer is because I like it. It’s just better. There’s not really a whole lot else to say. It’s hotter, it’s wetter. To me, sex is about wetness and sensation, and bareback is just better and more intense.

Julian: That’s the answer I get most often. When did barebacking click for you? What was the catalyst that really made you say “all or nothing”?

Jack: After I seroconverted.

I knew that I liked barebacking better even before then. Where and when I could forgo a condom, I did. It has been about eight years since I found out, and it was a non-event for me. Since then I’ve had to tell people, you know, “you’re hot, you’re stunning, but I’m only interested in barebacking you. If that’s okay with you then fine. If not, then let’s move along.”

Julian: What are some of your hobbies outside of massage and sex?

Jack: I read a lot. My favorite is Bleak House by Dickens. I play the piano, I love cooking. I guess the usual things. I love being around animals and my friends. I go hiking a lot. I spend a lot of time outdoors. I try to go to movies and museums. Basically I like to lead a quiet life. I’m an inveterate tourist of New York. I always want to see more and my friends tend to be that way, too.

Julian: What has been your favorite scene to shoot?

Jack: Oh god, I never watch my scenes after. Like I said earlier, I’m there for the fucking, so I don’t know exactly what movie this went into or if it has even been released yet, but there was this one guy in San Francisco who I found out was a heavy reader, and I was so turned on that we kept fucking and talking and fucking, haha. I think I came, like, three times in that scene. I’m sure the crew were so frustrated! Okay, we have enough. Let’s get out of here. We still have to edit!

  1. I first saw Jack in a scene I think his first scene for TIM; and when I went for my next massage appointment I mentioned it to him. He was so funny he said, “Oh, I didn’t know that you were a member.” “Have you watched it?” I asked. He chuckled and said just as he said in the interview. “No I haven’t, I just like fucking.” Then he massaged me and fucked me. I wish TIM would bring him out to SF for a 442 Natome shoot soon. You are one of a kind Jack. DAMN I miss you LOL

  2. Sexiest man in porn ever. I’d let him breed me every time!
Please do more vids – lots more.

  3. One of the sexiest guys on the porn scene everytime i just look at jack i get hard please make more videos as enjoy every single one dude

  4. He went to grad school? Wow. I’m so glad he cut his hair. That long hairstyle was very unappealing.

  5. Great that Jack is so honest and clear about what turns him on in a man and how he feels about the idea of bareback sex. He intelligent and handsome as well.

  6. Jack’s ability to fuck the cum out of a hot bottom is what makes him one of TIM’s best. His and Ethan Wolfe’s scene on TIMFuck where Jack breeds Ethan raw on camera for the first time is one of my all time favorites. I can always count on that scene to drain my balls dry. Thanks for letting us get to know something’s about you, Jack.
PS: Wanna talk Shakespeare and Dickens with me sometime? 😉

  7. Wonderful interview with one of my favorite TIM performers. But I don’t know if I’d say Jack’s a dichotomy. Maybe the embodiment of a truth that isn’t celebrated as much as it should be. One of the things I’ve come to love most about being a gay man is (how to put this?) the interplay between the civilized and the animal and how that manifests itself. Yes, the brain is the biggest sex organ, but I’ve gotten to know what’s going on in the brains of some really intelligent, creative guys because we acted on a primal urge and stuck our dicks in each other. There’s just something about a brainy horndog.
On an unrelated note, I’d be interested to hear more about why Jack thought his seroconversion was a non-event.

  8. I really enjoy Jack’s approach to sex . No one should ever apologize for being “Vanilla”. That direct approach, when done with passion, always works. I’ve been lucky enough to be a massage client of Jack’s, and wish he was back in SF.
