DICE: So, can you tell me a little bit about yourself?

JACK DARLING: I’m a thirty year old gay nerd living in Seattle and enjoying life to the fullest that I can.

DICE: You’ve shot a couple scenes with TIM now. What made you get started? What was the process like for you?

JD: I got started in sex work when I was in my teens and filmed my first porn scene at twenty. Since then I’ve worked for a couple different studios and maintained my own XTube channel & tumblr. Sex work has been something I’ve enjoyed doing for the entirety of my adult life. The process for TIM was a pretty straightforward, just a simple email exchange.

DICE: Was porn something that you were always interested in doing growing up? A lot of people just fall into it.

JD: I’ve had an interest in sex work since I was young and went deliberately into it as soon as I felt able.

DICE: What’s in the pipeline for you in terms of Shooting for TIM? Is there any fantasy scene you’d like to make happen?

JD: I would love, love, love to do a scene with a really hot trans man or two so maybe that can happen at some point.

DICE: What’s the appeal of barebacking to you?

JD: It feels better, more connected, more…raw, I guess.

DICE: What are some of your hobbies outside of porn?

JD: I’m a big nerd & I read a lot. My favorite authors are Octavia Butler, Augusten Burroughs & Orson Scott Card. I’m a gaymer; I play Magic: the Gathering and other table-top games as well as RPGs or strategy games on console & PC. I am not a complete shut-in though, I also gogo dance on the weekends, play racquetball, rollerblade, hike, kayak and travel as much as I possibly can. This year I hit Palm Springs, Puerto Vallarta, Los Angeles, NYC, DC, Baltimore, Chicago, Amsterdam, Paris, Berlin, New Orleans and San Francisco. Looking forward to more next year!

DICE: How do you feel about the idea that porn has an obligation to show safe sex?

JD: People are gonna do what people are gonna do. The sex we show for entertainment and titillation should reflect the sex that people are actually having so there’s room for both.

DICE: How old were you when you first came?

JD: I was 11.

DICE: When was the first time you had sex?

JD: I was 15, and it was with my first boyfriend.

DICE: What turns you on in a man?

JD: A handsome face, a quick mind, a nice butt and an easy smile. I have a particular weakness for guys who are short, fit & furry.

DICE: What’s a major turn off?

JD: Deodorant is the biggest; it absolutely kills it for me if I go for a guy’s pit and it smells like anything but man. Others are cigarette smoking and body hair removal. Stubble anywhere but your head is the WORST so please boys just keep the hair you’re given, it’s sexy.

DICE: Whats the sickest thing you’ve ever done that you love?

JD: Fucking people in public really gets me hard.

DICE: What do you enjoy about living in Seattle?

JD: I grew up in the area, so Seattle is home and I’m so lucky. Seattle is just the right balance between big city and small town and you can’t beat the local scenery. I like that people here are generally chill, willing to let everyone do their thing as long as they’re not harming anyone. The weather is gorgeous nine months out of the year and the wet isn’t so bad because it doesn’t get very cold.

DICE: Tell me about your tongue.

JD: I was working at a tattoo shop, I was 21 and it was the 2 other guys on shift and a scalpel after hours.

DICE: Is there anything you want people to know that I didn’t ask you?

JD: The quote on my back is from On the Road by Jack Kerouac. Because people always ask.
